Boston’s First 16 Handles – and a sweet giveaway:)

Over the past year, Boston has seen an explosion of trendy fro-yo stores. Last weekend, the most recent addition to Boston’s fro-yo scene is New York favorite, 16 Handles.  With 6 states operating 16 Handles stores in North America, Boston joined the team with the Grand Opening of its very first location in Coolidge Corner last weekend (26th of January).

My first 16 Handles experience was in New York, where more of the stores are concentrated and I fell in love immediately, I was absolutely brimming with excitement when I heard rumors earlier this fall that Coolidge Corner was soon to be ‘handling’ as well:)

On the day of the Grand Opening, I joined a whole slew of other fro-yo fans who showed up to christen the store and more importantly, to enjoy some of 16 handles quintessential flavors…aka salted caramel and peanut butter confession.

For those of you who have perhaps not been to a self-serve fro-yo place, the premise is simple.  After tasting whichever flavors you like, you pick up your tub, fill it with whatever flavors and as much of each as you like… aka a dollop of coconut, a half tub of peanut butter…etc. :) , then head to the toppings bar, which is thoroughly impressive at 16 handles.  From chocolate chips, to mini peanut butter cups and fresh fruit, you can have it just the way you like it…none of this ‘more…no, more…um, just a little more..etc’ business.

Once you are satisfied with your masterpiece, you take it to the till, weigh it and pay only for what you get, no more, no less.
It is a perfect model of customer satisfaction and satisfaction you will find:)
